Maldon Festival unveils ‘most diverse programme ever’ ahead of launch this weekend

THE HIGHLY anticipated Maldon Festival is delighted to announce the launch of its 2025 programme, its most extensive and diverse offering to date.


Starting this Saturday (June 21), the festival runs until Sunday 12 July.


It features more than 25 concerts, showcases, recordings, masterclasses and events - staged across more venues than ever before.


This year's festival will celebrate 500 years of music, embracing an incredible breadth

of genres from rock to goth, jazz to classical, choral to orchestral and acoustic to open-air performances.


From the intimate atmosphere of the tiniest pub to the grandeur of Maldon's churches, music will be ringing out across the town and around the countryside, ensuring there's something to captivate every musical taste.


"The Maldon Festival has truly grown this year, expanding our reach and offering even

more incredible experiences for our community and visitors," says James Burrell-Cook, chairman of the Maldon Festival Trustees.


"We're so excited to present a programme that delves deep into musical history while also showcasing contemporary talent and fostering local participation.


"Whether you want to join in, be part of the audience, or become a volunteer, there are countless ways to experience the magic of the festival."
